Hiring a V8 for the day?
My BF's 50th b'day is a few weeks away. He loves everthing about V8s (the boomy chuggy type sound they make actually) & dreams of driving one around the lanes near where we live.
Apart from hiring one for the day at wedding/special occasion type prices (£500 etc), does anyone have any ideas as to how I can obtain one for a day (at budget price) to let him live his dream for a while. (nothing illegal please!) We live separately in Kent.
Thank you.

Dunno, but a quick Google throws this up: http://www.sportscarshire.co.uk/0

£500 to hire? Put £150 to it and it would have bought both my v8's. Both long MOT's, 1 with tax.0

V8 what? Offroad / green lane day or a racing day / track day advertised everywhere, think argos etc also do them?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Could/can be done/arranged.
However, it will be a specially offered thing with only a limited number of firms offering such.
Ringing round a few hire firms from the local Yellow Pages or Google might bring up some ideals and they may be able to recommend someone for you to contact.

Be careful with the insurance details though.
Some of them have a huge excess, such as, pay the first £50,000 of any damage!0 -
My SiL hired an Austin Healy for her hubby and they went for a great day out.

Call a Jaguar dealer and see if they will hire you an XK8, XKR or XFR for the day. Lay on the special birthday treat aspect - you never know.0
