Argos Replacement Product Cover

I purchased a £144 Fuji camera from Argos on 15/03/2009 along with the RPC at £24.99.
The camera was faulty and I returned it to Argos where it was replaced on 20/04/2009 (stating replaced on the receipt)
Now as the camera was not fit for purpose having bought it just 5 weeks previously would my RPC still be in effect as the mechanical breakdown was within such a short time?
Bearing in mind it would have been returned under the warranty if I had NOT bought the RPC.
The reason I am asking now is that I have accidentally damaged the camera and it is now not working....accidental liquid damage.

According to Argos' site, when you get a replacement, the cover ends. Which seems rather unusual to me...might be worth double-checkingSquirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Replacement Product Cover covers items up to £150 for accidental damage and breakdown, and once a claim is made against the insurance, it is classed as settled, so that insurance has ended. Claim for breakdown would only happen after the first 12 months as all items come with an initial 12 months warranty.
Breakdown Cover covers items over £150 and can last up to 5 years depending on the amount of cover purchased. This is continuous up to 5 years for repairs against accidental damage and breakdown, but if it is deemed not repairable then the insurance will be settled and the customer sent either a replacement or vouchers to purchase an alternative, and again the insurance will end after the claim is settled.
Your camera would have been replaced under the 12 month guarantee rather than using your RPC, so yes your RPC is still valid.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]
