Just being nosy , but do you use Outlook Express/Live Essentials or just Webmail (like through your browser) ? I wish I understood your question! I just use hotmail and avast? I have a couple of account and the others are fine but this account isn't and it was the one I was using at the time my PC wouldn't turn off , even after using the taskbar to try to cloe it down.
What do you mean by Hotmail .. you did not understand my question.. how do you access Hotmail using a browser ie Internet Explorer or do you use Windows live or Outlook ExpressOne last bump before I give up. Any ideas?! I want to post a screenshot but it would show the name of my account

There have been some changes lately with Hotmail but they should not have caused the symptoms you describe, we need more info please.This might sound really stupid but is there a way to uninstall an email account ?

Hmm seems like your account on Hotmail may be corrupt, but I use thunderbird for my email have you tried using Firefox or Opera for your webmail access I am not the most au fait person for web access , but I think that it may be a problem with IE too and it might help to go to tools/internet options/advanced then reset.
I am not sure this will work but it will keep you back up near the end of the forum and someone may suggest a better solution .... sorry
