london bus tour?

Hiya, I've got a visitor coming from abroad later in the year and thought a london bus tour would be a nice thing to do, I googled it to find which companies have wheelchair access and nearly fell over at hte price, most of them being about £25 per a person! We won't be in london for long so don't need a day ticket. Does anyone know if there are cheeper ones around, maybe im just out of touch with things but I wasn't expecting them to be that expensive, thats £50 just for 2 of you to do a quick tour! I none of them say if they give a disabled/carer discount which might help a bit (a bit like the london eye), but are any of them cheeper if you just turn up on the day and find one?

I went on one with the original tour company a couple of weeks ago.
Through C2C they are doing an offer of £20 per ticket for an adult and £10 per ticket for a child. http://www.c2c-online.co.uk/offers/london/the_original_tour
Its not much cheaper than the one you are looking at which from the price you have said im guessing is the big bus tours.
Having read online about them it does seem that you can turn up to one of the main meeting points and the 2 companys will drop the prices trying to get you to travel with them i didnt want to risk that and end up paying full price though! The places where i know both companys have people there are tower of london, westminster bridge and though if you fancied giving that a go!
The tickets with both companies include a river cruise which is worth £12 on its own and also the walking tours (which i didn't bother with!)
My friend was actually looking at them yesterday and found one where you pay a fiver per person and you do it yourself which would mean using normal buses and knowing which buses to get on and when and where you are going etc! I cant find the link but if you wanted to do it cheaper i guess thats another option!
Not sure how much help that is to you though but hope you enjoy your day!0 -
The original tour company take tesco vouchers - don't know if that helps.0
