OK bit of an odd question, I need to pick up 35 packs of wood flooring tomorrow just wondering if I should do more than one trip I have a small mpv so space shouldnt be a problem but I think weight might be. It doesnt specify the weight online!
Should I do two trips or more?

Depends on how big your car is, what it weighs etc.
Spread it out, cars are designed to take 4/5 people and their luggage at capacity.0 -
Read the manual for the car to determine what weight is allowed to be carried, I suspect though for 35 packs you may need more then one journey.0

Allow for five fat people at 100kg each0

Seriously I do need to diet. Sorry for going off topic - I hate it when people do that to my threads so now feeling hypocritical.
Back on topic in an attempt to make up - A lot of people are unaware of just how heavy people are. Ikea laminate packs weigh 15KG http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20144880
Thus 15X35=525KG (slightly less than 5 of me!) so about a reasonable limit of your average car.
But a couple of things to think about.- People will be spread around the car with all the weight spread between the 4 wheels - very little would be in the boot.
- How far are you driving it - would you take 5 heavy people that distance or would you think twice
- How much do you love your car - personally my car isn't up to much but I'd do my best to fit it in because I don't love my car - in contrast I know someone whose car is his pride and joy - he'd probably pay for delivery - rather than risk a box sliding and damaging the interior.
Doh: Just forgot one vital part of the calculation - the driver. When you factor in the weight of the driver. I would recommend you do 2 trips. There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -
The manual for the car should specify the max laden weight....0

Do a couple of trips. Why risk the hassle of doing damage?
Plus if you hit something or someone smashes into the back of you you're gonna be in big trouble when all that stuff slides forward.0 -
Thanks guys I think I will split it into two trips its not too far just 5-10 mins up the road, I can put down my back seats so I can spead it about abit but shhhh dont tell my back doctor as im doing it all on my own!:hello:"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing it doesn't go in a fruit salad0

Get a member of staff to help in the store and to put it in the car. Make sure that they are from the same batch.0
