  • I've seen the errors of my way! I'm just robbing Peter again and I've left those days behind so I'm gonna wait! I should practice what I preach!
you have learnt the lessons and more importantly taken them on board.

Ooh SS,just seen this thread this morning, I would wait. I have thought this a few times myself when I have been close to clearing another thousand off and wanted to 'tidy up' the total. However I have made myself wait because I have wanted to really know that the figure is our true debt figure. Not sure that makes sense?

Well done SS what a fantastic achievement in a year!

Good decision - you've learnt the lessons of the past and you're doing so well
  • I think you've made the right decision SS, as it won't be a true figure otherwise!
Have to add my congratulations on how well you've done this year, you're truely inspiring :T
  • Call me a tightwad but SS why would you want to give the bank 76p (or whatever the charge would be)? You've worked hard for that money - keep it for yourself! If you don't have to don't give them even 1p!

Well done SS. You are a marvel!

I have to say SS I'm glad you decided not to give the banks that extra 76p.Either way you would still owe the same amount of money (ie over 9 grand less than you did a year ago, which is terrific). However, since the bank has already authorised your overdraft it wouldn't exactly be robbing Peter to pay Paul, more just borrowing fom him!
  • Wait!!!

It'll be a boost whatever the date.

And you really don't want The Story of the Folly of the Car Mats being brought up again, now do you? :D
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

You're probably talking about interest of about 76p on your overdraft (based on £200 for 1 week at 19.9% - sort of just plucked the interest rate out of thin air so sorry if its way off the mark!). So if it will really motivate you and give you a great boost mentally :D I would go for it!

But you'd pay even more interest on your card anyway wouldn't you? So you'd actually save money?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
