Hi all,
I need some advise and help.
I bought a barometer from a charity shop. I think that it is an aneroid barometer but I am not sure ? It looks very similar to photo number two at http://www.quicksilver-barometers.co.uk/barometer_information.htm, where it states 'The centre one is in both inches mercury and millibars and is showing 30.35" - 1030 mb'.
As advised at the above website, I have tried setting it for an aneroid barometer but it does not appear to be working.
Any advise and help would be much appreciated.
It is a lovely looking piece of furniture so it would be great if I could get it working properly.
Thanks

Your link doesn't work for me, but this one does! (You left the 'l' out of .html)
If you move back up the page a little from the photos of the three aneroid barometers you will see on the right a diagram indicating a small screw at the back of the barometer which you can turn to adjust the pointer at the front. Is that what you have done, but without effect?0 -

What's the nearest airfield to your house? You will also need to know the height of the barometer above sea level. If you want to PM me your postcode I can calculate it for you.

Thanks for your help but I have already tried that without effect.0
