Average costs of living for a single person?

Options
Just looking for some guidance on the average cost for a single person in a 1 bedroom flat (apart from rent / council tax), always lived in houseshares with friends. I've had a quick google and just seem to come up with figures from 2006-2007.
So just looking for figures from personal experiences :money:

I live on my own in a 2 bed flat and pay the following per month:

    Electric £55 (all electric flat)
Water £15 (although we have our own pumping station here so it seems rather cheap)
    Internet/Phone £20
    TV Licence £12ish

    HTH and good luck

    Similar to above:

    gas and elec £55 pm
    water £25 pm
talktalk phone/internet £20 pm (very cheap)
    insurance £10 pm
    tv licence £12 pm
food etc from £120 but could be a lot more without careful budgeting...
don't have sky/virgin but think it costs about another £30 pm? and up.

Figures from last year when I was living alone, but only food budget has changed since then lol.

Similar, but I pay £75 pm gas&electric and £40 pm water. TBH living alone is much more expensive than a houseshare in my experience - mainly due to rent/ctax though.

    I rent a 1 bed flat. I currently pay:

    £435 rent
£70-80 per quarter for electric (goes up by about £10 in winter – my bills are not that high because I am tight!!)
    £10pm water (water meter)
£55 council tax (is lower because I forgot you don’t have to pay for 2 months so I over paid by 2 months last year and this year)
