Flight hand luggage query

Flying out to Greece in less than a week. However, only just got round to looking at the revised hand luggage rules. It states that liquids cannot be taken on the plane. Does this also include creams/moisturisers? I suffer from eczema and I find my skin gets very dry during a flight so I usually take a container of Nivea Creme to use. I am wondering if they will let me take it on the plane. I would have got a doctors note but I fear that I've left it a bit late.

You could always buy some at Boots after passing security.

  • You need to check which Airport you are flying from.

I am Flying from Manchester and they do not have a Boots airside. Check the airport website. Also they are talking about relaxing some of the restrictions so you might be ok.
Failing that could you get your Dr to give you something on prescription? You would be allowed to take that.

Just double checked Manairport website T1 and T2 do have a Boots airside but not T3- just checked and we are flying from T2- sigh of relief! I did think it was T3. I will be having a nervous break down before I get there at this rate!

    Have a good trip

Terminal 1 at Manchester has a Boots airside. I flew from there last week and bought my bottle of (overpriced) water from them. I don't know about the other two terminals though.

We went to Greece from Bristol at the end of August. We were restricted in what we could take through Customs but once we were airside we could purchase things to take on board. I am pretty sure there was a Superdrug airside - I guess we aren't as posh as Manchester

It was our first time to Greece and we loved it - have a great holiday.

A very quick search would have revealed this thread and the answer to your question :-

It was actually me who bought the water. It was 90p for a small bottle. I am used to buying four for a pound from Aldi or similar shops.

We bought 3 large Evian sports top bottles for £3 (at WH Smith) which all things considered I thought wasn't too bad for an airport. I was expecting to pay that for 1 or 2...
