Hi
I've just recieved through the post a "Parking Contravention Enforcement Notice" They want £150 or £75 if paid within 14 days. The car park its from doesn't have any pay & display machines, you have to pay using a mobile phone. They have my details & claims to have photograhic evidence which if i want to see they will charge me £10 for
I will scan the letter & post it, as its not clear who has sent it, the local rag had a peice in about this car park, which is managed by
Lawrence Brown, from Scotts, who manages the car parking site.
After more searching their phone number comes up with Civil Enforcement Ltd, who are apparently not very professional
I'll upload the scanned letter if I can
I take it I should ignore it then

The usual BS from them. By calling it an ""Parking Contravention Enforcement Notice" they are pretending to have some sort of official status. They have not. They are just a private parking company. Even their name "Civil Enforcement Ltd" is designed to fool people into thinking that they are dealing with an official body.
This company are well known on here. They can safely be ignored. Do not contact them, and do not respond to any communication from them. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Here is the actual link
Note the "scales of justice" to fool people into thinking it's an official document. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
"Enforcement Notice"
Laughable really.0 -
Yeah I like the Scales of justice in the top corner, nice touch.
Bargain price too of the discounted rate of £75!!!
Anyway, same advice as the others, just ignore everything.0 -

Boy would I have fun with them, I would inform them that I don't have a mobile phone, or credit/debit cards to pay their scam invoice;)
But in truth unless you are fully aware its a scam I would just ignore them completelyExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

Just a thought - If you can only pay by mobile phone, would that be a breach of the DDA, as deaf people can't use phones?0 -
If you paid an initial amount by phone, do they have your card details?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Right, if I were you I would say to your card company that you've lost your card and want to replace it. Will that cause huge issues, is it your usual card for daily purchases?
If it's not too much of a headache I would get the card replaced so the scammers cannot just take the money when you don't pay. That would be illegal but I wouldn't put it past them.
Either way, don't panic, don't pay. Ignore any letters in the absence of sealed, genuine Court papers (which will not come). It's all about threats and then it will fizzle out.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
