What type of shower?

Just had a new boiler put in and i've got an electric shower (in a cubilcle) the existing shower is a bit long in the tooth and im looking at replacing it, should I just replace it with another electric (should be the easier option) or go for a thermostatic mixer shower running of the combi, if it makes a difference I am looking at replacing the tiles in the cubicle, also do I have the tiles and shower fitted at the same time. any advice appreciated- thanks

The electric shower will have a cold pipe running to it from the mains water feed. The shower heats the cold water for you.
Thermo mixer will need cold and hot feeds, therefore you'll have to run a different cold pipe from the tank and a separate hot pipe to the shower location.
I'd expect retiling and maybe lots more.
I'd just replace the electric, frankly.0
