Do French Beans come again?

I seem to vaguely remember readings somewhere, that if you cut back your French Beans after they've finished, they can come back and give another small crop later in the season.

As mine have finished now, I just want to ask if anyone has heard about this, and how far back I should cut them.

It's been my first year growning french beans, and am really pleased, early crop, just right to fill in time before the runner beans are ready, and much less fuss (no blackfly, unlike the runners, no support required).

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about French beans (sorry) but I believe broad beans sometimes do this.

Im not sure, but I found mine was so easy to grow and plant, I would just get rid of them and plant new plants out next year.
    Kind Regards

    Thanks all.

The thought was they would come back again Sept/October, giving another little crop THIS year.

Will certainly sow new ones next year.
