Grrrrrr, Motability Sales People!!

Good Morning,
Sorry for the rant to start with, but I spent a frustrating five and a half hours at a Motability dealers yesterday trying to order my new car on the scheme but in the end gave up in frustration.
The dealer's Motability Sales gadgy (allegedly a Motability Premier Partner) was about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. he could pull up on the computer my details and the fact my car is due to change in two and a half months, but didn't really get beyond that, despite him ringing up another salesman at another branch to seek assistance. Apparantly having a grant towards the Advanced Price cost was really beyond him!.
I was all set for going elsewhere, but it is the nearest Ford dealer, and I have found the ideal car, the Ford S-max 2.0 TDCi 140bhp Titanium with the Poweshift Semi Auto gearbox. As I need an auto/semi auto the advanced price should be only £120 but could I get that through to him? - well I might have spoken to the man in the moon.
Unfortunately I work Mon to Fri so going mid week (when he can get Motability to hold his hand) is not possible. After spending nearly all day there yesterday whilst he faffed about with this and that has to be honest put me off Ford.
Sorry for the rant, just I thought Motability salespeople were meant to be trained. I am certain I didn't have problems last time at VW - seems like I might be going back to them. Anyone else had similar probs ordering cars?. I vote this chap as the most incompetent Motability salesman ever.

I have just ordered my 1st motability car and i must admit it could not have been easier. The sales chap was very helpful and informative, the whole process was very quick indeed. I suppose just like all sales people there are good and bad, but they are supposed to be trained so a level of competence should be expected!0

Hi,
Well the car has an Advanced Price of £775. As I need an automatic - I cannot drive a manual due to my disability- I get the automatic grant of either upto £690 or whatever the difference is between the manual and automatic versions of the same car. Thus as the manual equivalent is £120 Advanced Price that is what I should pay for the car. I hope that explains it.

but the question remains, do you truly sit in that pool of people who require financial support to be able to feed and clothe yourself.
There is no need for that. You really are one jugemental person. This forum is meant to be for support - no quesionning someones' disability or whether they really need to claim benefits.
He's entitled to claim these benefits; so why not? And what's your problem withdisabled people claiming benefits to help them?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
