Tesco credit card charge-how to get charge refund

Hi guys, first off let me thank you all for saving me a lot of money for the last year on this very addictive website.

I have an old style Tesco credit card which gives me 1 point for every pound I spend generally and 2 in Tesco. I have used this for years now, building up my points by putting all my spending on the card and paying it off every month, however last month the payment was one day late and they charged me 55.59 because of it!:eek:

My question is, does anyone know who I can contact to get this refunded in view of the amount spent over the years. I have spoken to reps on the number given on the back of the statement and nobody wants to know. Surely, Tesco are very customer focussed and would not want to lose a loyal customer. If they can afford all those R & R's surely they can afford to refund me :rolleyes:
