This sounds like fun! I got a GC from Tesco pre-Christmas and can't decide whether to flog it or keep it. I'm nearly 40 and haven't really played games since my ZX Spectrum packed up. Did have a go on a war game, I think Medal of Honour, on some other machine a few years ago and loved that. Can anyone give me any life advice here? Shall I keep it and if so which of the bargains on here in recent weeks should I snap up? Many thanks x0

I'm not sure how impressed you would be with a Gamecube, If MOH is your type of game I think you would be better off with a PC or Xbox. Generally most Gamecube titles are aimed at Children (with notable exceptions of Meal Of Honour, Metroid Prime and the Resident Evil Series).
There are 2 Medal Of Honour games available, Allied Assault and Rising Sun. Both games are quite 'old' now and so you should be able to pick them up quite cheap.0 -
I bought a large third-party (Datel) memory card for my Gamecube back in 2002, think it was from Play.com (and I see they still sell them), and it's always been unreliable.
Works fine when you first turn the GC on, but when it gets warm (after say 10 mins) it can no longer be read or written to. Only solution is to remove the card inbetween loads and saves, in order to keep it cool...
