Same player--the music plays fine but no sound on the dvd.
  • and what dvd? just 1 dvd or all your dvd's?
what software are you using to play your dvd's?
is it dvdr or a genuine dvd?
have you updated your software for playing dvd media?
what dvd player do you have?

    I've tried 4 dvd's
pc has windows media player and real player
    software is up to date
dvd is just standard multi-recorder in the base unit

I hope its just a setting--the kids use this pc too and aren't too carefull.
  • go into control panel, system, device manager and click on the dvd player, make sure then sound control is ticked.

then control panel, system, device manager, sounds, video and games control

if you have some problems it normally shows up in there.

Done all of that now--even a system restore but still no sound. All devices check out as working ok!
Looks like its the repair shop:eek: Cant think of what else to do.
  • test for lose connections maybe? had this happen on our main dvd player once and it was due to the scart lead not being in properly. :)
