I was very very scared. Everyone on here said its not as bad as you think and they are right.
I had to go to the court office where the clerk, a nice lady, checked through my forms and made a couple of small changes. She took the payment and gave me a recepit.
She then explaned that I would have to see the judge, but it would be a very quick interview.
I then had to wait about 30 mins to see the judge.
When I went in to see him he was quite friendly and said he had read my forms and that my story was not uncommon these days. He checked that I had taken advice and asked if I had any questions and that was it. In there about 5 mins.
Then had to go back to court officce to be given the order and some leaflets about what you can and cant do etc.
I then had a quick call from th OR office later that day. Im now waiting to get my letter telling me a date for the telephone interview.
Was in the court building about a hour and a half in all but most of it was waiting.
Its not the best experince of my life butit really isnot any where as bad as you think honestly.
Im now waiting to get the interview over with.
Good luck for tomorrow.
Hi HardUp,
Glad it went well for you. Much kudos to you for having the guts to see it through. The only way is up now!

Keep smiling!

Thanks ruth (and jasper the dog). I'm booked in at 09:00 on Monday.I filled out the forms online and have done 3 copies, got the cash (is it £600 or £650?) so o hope it all correct.if there are any problems with the forms is there any time to change them there? And is there anything else I need to take?
9.00 - that's good; it means you won't be stewing in fear-juice for the whole day, waiting for the appointment.
But I will probably be on my way to work at that precise moment - I'll try and drive safely with my fingers crossed... Or I might try persuading Jasper to take the wheel for a bit... I think he's just about got over the incident where he drove into all those goats... :shhh:;)
Either way; we'll be thinking of you and hope that all goes well (or, at least, as well as these things can...:)).
We'll check in tomorrow to see how you got on.
Lots of luck.

:AI hope it all went well. My partner went bankrupt and his business premises (also our home) were repossessed. That was nearly 4 years ago. At the time not only was he bankrupt we were homeless also. The whole experience was very stressful but at least we were not constantly being hassled by creditors anymore. The ones who did were acting illegally and were reported to trustees. I had never lived on benefit before but we had no choice for a few months until we found work. An altogether humbling experience but I appreciate what we have so much more now and debt is for us a thing of the past. So there is life after bankruptcy as long as you abide by the rules while you are in it and declare it even after discharge and as another responder said, it does not have the stigma it used to have. Let's face it, the banks and Government almost went bankrupt themselves!!! Good luck for the future I really wish you all the best0
