swiftcover car insurance any good?

It is time of the year again and i only have one years no claim discount being a new driver. I have obtained the quotes from various vendors and switftcover is at least around 350-300 cheaper.
I know their CS is very poor but wondering if anyone has got any experience with them a positive or negative....please share and please advise...thanks.

They can be cheap, but should be only looked at for providing legal cover (ie third party) - claim service has bad reports (though if you only buy third party cover off them, you wouldn't be wanting to make a claim). If you are doing third party, then look at taking a massive excess - they will let you take £1000 voluntary excess even if your car is worth little.

I used them for a year - They were very cheap but a nightmare when I had a claim against me (a car park shunt which the driver had agreed was a 50-50 incident but then changed his mind, two weeks after I'd repaired my car). It took them months and months to sort out what should have been a simple situation as there were witnesses. I found it difficult to get through to them as they don't like phone contact and didn't answer emails.

(The claim was rejected by the way and my no claims stood, thank goodness).

I will not be using them after they sent spam sms to my mobile phone:
This is a quick reminder that we have not yet received your proof of no claims discount for your car insurance. Please check your emails. swiftcover.com.
