Save me from calling an expensive repair man please!!!!!

Dear all,

I am having an irritating little problem with my keyboard in that I can't type the pound sign and get # instead, and I @ and " have switch places. I have tryed reinstalling the keyboard and also ensured that the PC is set to UK settings on both regions and time and date. I don't know what else to try (even bought a new keyboard but it was only #6.99. See that dratted pound sign not there....very awkward considering i'm an accountant.


Please please would appreciate any dumbed down answers.

If you click advanced search, techie forum, and type in "pound sign", the solution has been mentioned on the board previously. (add uk keyboard, and delete the us one)

cpanel, regional and language, languages, details, add uk, delete us
