Can anyone comment on this company's bona fides, rate of success and 'cut' they take on successful completion of a claim. Cold called yesterday and not sure how to go forward. All replies gratefully received.

I there
I've not heard of them, and would be very careful using claims companies, lots on here have had problems using them.
I also left you a post on the above discussion thread, not a problem, I have copied and pasted it as here below.;)

Hi there
I would not bother using a claims company - its more or less straight forward to have a go yourself, and all free this way, where as you know you pay out if successful by using a claims company, and doing it yourself with free help from this site - you get to keep all your money.
I would also be very wary of claims companies as well, lots have been let down badly by them.
Its always worth checking them out with the Ministry of Justice as well (MOJ).

All you do - if you want to have a go yourself, if mis sold the ppi....
1. Complete the FOS questionnaire (these are quite new questionnaires and in replacement of the first template reclaiming letter), the Financial ombudsman issued these questionnaires.
You will find the FOS questionnaire on the link below - further down the page as Stage one:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...loan-insurance
2. Send to whoever was responsible to setting up and selling you the policy.
3. Keep a copy for yourself - this is recommended by the FOS in case you need to refer to it at a later date.
4. They have 8 weeks in full to respond - sometimes they ask for more time to investigate, that is fine.
If totally ignored when the 8 weeks have passed, then you can continue to complain to the FOS, where then you would complete a FOS Complaints form as found on the link here:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.u...complaints.htm
You can also do this if you've not had a favourable response by the final decision, cos some will give you the opportunity to write back with further information.
In the final decision letter, the business should anyway enclose details of the FOS with a leaflet - the procedures of making a complaint to the FOS.
With this you also enclose a copy of the final letter from the business and a copy of your questionnaire.
Its also recommended to post by recorded delivery as well, this is your proof of posting.
Hope this helps, good luck and ask for help anytime.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Never heard of them, they seem to do exactly all we'd do and end up with the same outcome! But of course they take your money! LOL0

They are a bunch of sharks. Stay well clear. They called me and said their fees were £250, turns out they forgot to say £250 + 10% of any refund. Also said that they guaranteed the refund amount based on looking at my account, when actually meant that the value they were giving was a typical amount.
I cancelled the agreement with them and 2 months later they are dragging their feet while I am trying to get my £250 back.
Stay away from AIMS. You have been warned.0 -
If you paid the fee by Credit Card, ask the card company to reverse this transaction, explain what has happened.
Give these a ring.

Report them, they should not have taken an upfront fee.
If you were mis sold ppi then use all the info available on this site for FREE and do it yourself.0
