Awww, what a lovely thing to do. How long did she have the toy? It was really good of them to do it if she'd had him quite some time.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670

I've said it before on here but Ill say it again, BABW have some of the best staff in retail. Each and every one I have ever come across is a credit to the store.
mrcow you could be in for the long hall, my DD (12 almost 13) still sleeps with Katie the panda (mostly black and not very well stuffed anymore!) and has spent an afternoon sorting out the BABW Wardrobe full of clothes she has for it!0 -

I don't doubt that you're right! At this rate though, I can't see him surviving much longer - unless he has some sort of fur transplant!

we had to buy another suitcase when we came back from L.A, solely to accommodate all the BAB stuff she bought over there because it was so much cheaper (including a car!!)
I can't see her ever parting with it as it all holds memories (outfits from Disneyland, Anaheim Angels Baseball clothes etc)
Do BAB still make the same bear? You could perhaps get another and put the threadbare one on display?0 -
DD has her 7th birthday party booked there for Saturday-she loves it, and have always had fantastic customer service0

It's not even a BAB toy! It's a little Spot the Dog toy. You can get other Spots, but this one came with a book in a boxset and I've not seen another one quite like it since. It's quite old now.
I went in there because I thought their stuffing would be better quality/more durable than something I could buy elsewhere. They just took it and fixed him for her. I wasn't expecting them to do that - initially I was hoping to just buy some stuffing off them to fix it for myself - but they wouldn't hear of it.
Ahhh, maybe keep an eye on boot sales etc?
Always makes me smile in there when they put the heart in the bears and have you rub it to start it and warm itSo cute!

I like BAB and always have a good experience with them however last Christmas, my partner and I went in to get my niece a bear and despite the fact that we had no children with us, they insisted on going through the pantomime of jumping up and down, running round in a circle, singing a song etc which I wasn't particularly comfortable with and thought I showed that clearly in my facial expression!:heart2: Friday 10 June - Getting married! :heart2:0

:rotfl:
Whenever I walk past one of their stores (by myself or with my husband - we don't have any children) a member of staff with a big wide grin is typically standing outside holding a bear which "waves" its paw at me/us. TBH it totally freaks me out.
I'm not sure what freaks me out more - the staff or a teddy bear waving."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0
