Van Hire Pick up London/SE Drop off Northern Ireland

Anyone know of any companies that do this? Only one I've found so far is europcar who want £800 for a Luton Van for 2 days, would only be £190 with them if I brought it back to the original pick up point which seems ridiculous. Must be somebody out there offering this service for a reasonable price?

remember if they bring the vehicle back they will need to pay for someone to drive it, the fuel and the ferry costs

And their air fare out there - at last minute sky high prices. And it won't be available for rental again until they do this.

Can you maybe arrange for it to be dropped off back at another Eurocar point in Scotland. For example I know that they have one at Prestwick airport, which is very close to Troon, where you can get the P&O boat back to NI for £16 and a £4 train fare.

Thanks for the replies people. I get the point that the van in this instance seems to have to be got back to it's original pick up point by the company. But they only charge a little extra if you hire a car in London and then drop it off in Belfast.
Just seems strange that there's no one out there doing the same with vans i.e leaving them at the drop off location until they are hired again and moved on somewhere else in the country. The prestwick airport option seems to work out not much cheaper but good idea sandiep. Bit reluctant to take the man with van option as I'm moving around £50,000 worth of stock and don't really want to let it out of my sight.
I'll keep looking and if I find a better option I'll update this thread for anyone who finds themselves in a similar postion.

A lot of man with van companies will let you sit in the cab with them as the vans are normally 3 seaters. You can probably get a discounted rate if you have just the driver with you helping to load and unload.

You may find you get a cheaper price from a man and van company that are based where your destination is in Northern Ireland as they will do the same mileage as one based in London

My sis in law moved back to NI from Reading and I offered to help with the move. As above, massive costs to pick up one place and ditch in another. I ended up hiring the van in Belfast, driving to Dublin, ferry to Holyhead, then drive down, fill the van, sleep (!), drive to Holyhead, ferry to Dublin, and drive back up home. 3 or 4 days of van hire (try to be clever with the 24 hours) plus diesel. I guess you'd need to add an air fare to fly over here first, or else get a friend or relative to drive over for you.
The above still worked out cheaper than picking up and dropping in a different place!
