"FUNNY" letter received from Pension Credit

Just received a confusing letter from pension credit. What they are saying in a nut shell that they are either going to ring me or write to me to establish if I am getting the right amount.
I have been receiving Pension credit for last 2 years. What intrigues/ confuses me is why didn't they ask for any information in this letter rather than saying that they gonna ring or write again.
Has anybody else has received this letter?
Can anybody help me decipher this?
I do have savings of 5000 pounds which I had told them.

Thanks to all of you BUT to be doubly sure I am reproducing the first line....Please confirm if you have also received the similar letter.
"We need to make sure you are getting the right amount of pension credit..............
To do this we contact you in near future by letter or telephone."
Then it lists savings, housing cost, personal pension, any other income.
Pl. do confirm to put me at ease.something missing0 -

Yes, that's exactly the same as the one my parents got. It got them rather worried because they thought maybe they were getting too much money and would have to start paying some back.
We did get everything ready to answer the questions but there was no follow-up. It's best to be ready just in case, though.0 -
The send these out to at least 20% of claimants at a time, then phone about 1% of the people who have recieved these letters, what they are for is just a letter and phone call to make sure that the recipient is alive. Daft I know, but thats the government for you0
