Selling books for charities

Oh, dont get me wrong - I understand why they say no more books. Once you've used up what space you have, you cant physically take more! What surprised me was the fact that, even in that situation, they still turned down an offer of help to sell the books they currently have.0

Ah, yes, inclined to agree with you, that it doesn't seem logical to turn down any offers.
Possibly they might be concerned about administrative costs; eg listing fees if item doesn't sell, accounting for those that do etc. Possibly they have spoken to the existing book person who may be anti for any reason; there are quite a few Luddites around, and some volunteeers get quite upset if they think anyone is 'interfering' with their section. But others may be only too glad of help. ( Though I agree they probably wouldn't have time or inclination to take on posting and packing.)
How about trying a different charity?0
