Vanquis not reporting my info

Hi all

Had an atrocious credit rating so applied and was granted a vanquis card in feb of this year soley for rebuilding my rating and showing i could be trusted before moving on to a better card etc etc....

To my absolute horror i have just checked my credit file through checkmyfile.com (all 3 agencies) and discovered they hav'nt even been submitting any information to anyone about me, i hav'nt missed or been late with a single payment for the last 7 months and it's done my credit rating no good whatsoever!

Got on the phone to them to ask what was going on and after the woman at the other end went to consult with her manager she came back to say how sorry they were and she would put it through for "refferall" straight away.

The cynic in me simply refuses to accept this was a simple oversight, vanquis know a lot of people like myself are only a punter until we get a semi decent credit rating then at the first opportunity we're off to another lender with a better rate, if they don't report my account behaviour i'm not going to be able go anywhere else am i!?

Before you jump to conclusions, you should read the checkmyfile T&C's, and in particular...
    5. We provide credit reports on a simplified basis to make it easier to understand the contents. If you are using our services to check the accuracy of your own file, you acknowledge that a credit report from us is not the same as the file you would receive if you exercise your statutory rights to obtain a full copy of your credit file from any credit reference agency at any time upon payment of the statutory fee of £2. You agree that you will not use any of the information we provide to you including credit scores as the sole basis for any decision you may make.
I suggest you part with £2 for a 'proper' report.
  • Hi YB

Yeah i know about Checkmyfile but there is just about everything else on their about me and also the conversation i had with vanquis led me to believe they wer'nt going to report my account to my credit file unless i asked them to do so.
