Years ago when I took out my mortgage I was forced to take out a Mortgage Indemnity Insurance. This cost £1300.
This Insurance was to cover against me defaulting against the loan and in fact did not protect me but protected the bank. I hear now the Insurance companies are chasing the customers have paid out to the Banks.
Surely then this is a nonsense and all Mortgage Indemnity Insurances whould be re-paid because in essence they protect you, the person who took it out, against absolutely nothing0
