    If you drink that stuff you haven't got any taste buds :D

    My coffee is important to me, I go for the Nescafe Gold Blend.

    Sweetness, but :rotfl:again. If you drink Gold Blend, well, you said it yourself. Hardly in any position to be dissing another's taste buds.
  • I've found Sainsburys gold and Teso gold coffee taste exactally the same as Gold Blend and Douwe Egberts once you have had a few cups. So much cheaper!

    We have a filter machine and use Lidl's Bellarom expresso, it comes in a black 200g tin and is £1.49, its very good.
    Just a heads up on this. I went in to get some for hubby the other day as he drinks it in our senseo machine and it scanned through at £1.69 - shelf was £1.49 so got my 20p back but what's the bet that the shelf price gets changed soon??

    Does anyone have any recommendations for good cheap coffee?

    Lidl.

    Whether it's ground coffee or instant. They have stores in France and Italy, you know, and you'd never get away with selling %$£& coffee in those places.

    Try Aldi. Their French or Italian ground coffee at £1.59 for 250g or their specially selected ground coffee (Columbian, Costa Rican or Javan) is £1.99 for 250g, . Personally I wouldn't recommend the Ikea ground coffee. The instant coffee Alcaf Dark Gold is good it's £1.59 for 100g.

    Have you tried the new Starbucks instant?

    Now that REALLY does taste like real coffee.

    But its expensive, they sell in diddy sachets instead of a jar:(

    £2 for 7 cups of coffee:eek: & thats on special offer:eek::mad:

    Not just me then! Tried it only once but really thought it was good (much better than Gold Blend and the like) but clearly not in the 'cheap' category!
