Cancelling Natwest Life Insurance

I have a policy with Natwest and found Cheaper with First Direct, so thinking of cancelling.
When cancelling such a policy is there anything i should be aware of? Also, would it be a case of going into a branch to cancel
Natwest charging me £10.08 and FD quote is £5.75

Make sure the new policy is in place before you cancel the old one.
That might mean that you end up paying two premiums for one month - but it's far better than cancelling the old one only to find that FD won't actually offer you cover at £5.75 and nobody else will cover you either.0 -

Thanks, i think when i was doing the quote it asked me if I had other cover.. in this case I would need to answer yes would i not, as in reality i would have other cover until the Nwest is cancelled?
