Can i claim Income Support as well as Incapacity?

    Mum might be entitled to claim Carer's Allowance if she fulfills the criteria (she may already be receiving this - I'm not sure from the posts).

    Another alternative would be for the OP to claim her benefits in her own right, then pay her mum board each week - they would have to agree a suitable amount between them. This would give the OP a little more independence and control over her income.
  • My mum is my full time carer, 24 hours a day everyday. She has to help me with every single activity. I would much rather have my mum caring for me than having carers coming in. My mum does everything she can to benefit me, i don't mind her keeping my D.L.A, in my eyes she deserves it.
