My solicitor was not connected to the companies solicitor, however the solicitor who advised the company was either the same solicitor who was on the board or a solicitor who was a partner of theirs.
thanks
OK...I think. So their solicitor had no connection whatsoever to yours?
WHat is the issue?0 -
no my solicator has no connection to mine.
It's just seems unfair that a company can obtain a solicitor and allow your legal fees to constantly increase when there wouldn't. It just seemed fishy when I did some research into the companies solicitor and found he was on the board.
I now understand there is nothing wrong is this, but I thought it was meant to be independent.

Did they not pay £250 towards the compromise agreement being checked over as the vast majority of companies do to enforce that someone actually gets it checked over by a proffessional otherwise a compromise agreement isn't valid.
Also techincally they are still paying for a solicitor even though it is in houseThe Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

Surprising, as I said on a CA companies normally pay for upto £250 of solicitors time so that the employee gets the CA checked over because if they might not be valid (I think)The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
