You could send them the "Invoice" back stamped up a la TPUC with Accepted For Value across it , but really it is best to ignore them, correspondence, only encourages them, and increases their hope of getting some cash from you.0

.... I have an overwhelming urge to send them some abuse and get in to some sort of tit-for-tat argument with them just for the sheer fun of it? ...
Many thanks for sending me a free paper aeroplane.
I folded it exactly as per the instructions given by the solicitor on BBC Watchdog, but unfortunately it only flew a few feet before crashing to the floor.
Could you please ensure that any future free paper aeroplanes you send are made of sturdier paper, I would suggest 80 gsm as a minimum.
Alternatively, if you are only able to send thin paper, could you please perforate it beforehand, so that I can take it to the smallest room and put it behind me.
Many thanks,
mickmcg68

Thanks Bargepole, that's a classic. I've just spilled my beer laughing! I'll use that one myself!0 -

That's the letter for me as well! Going to save it to my desktop ready for my next fake PCN.
You have great way with words bargepole, I also loved that letter you sent Sainsburys last year about their parking sign with 'fine/penalty' on it - can you post it again sometime for the newer members on this forum?
:rotfl::rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This was my letter to Sainsbury's:Dear Sirs,
I recently visited your newly-opened High Wycombe store, and very nice it is too.
However, I feel I must have missed some news bulletins recently, because when I drove into the car park there, I noticed signs saying that if drivers parked in the disabled bays without a blue badge, they would be "fined" £50. The same condition applied to parent & child bays.
Now as any clued up person knows, fines can only be issued by the Courts, Police, or local Councils. For a private company to claim to be able to fine someone, would be a contravention of Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.
I can only assume, therefore, that since these signs must have been approved by some legal top bananas in Sainsbury's, and they clearly wouldn't want to be committing fraudulent acts, that J Sainsbury has recently passed into public ownership and is now a sub-division of the Ministry of Agriculture or some such government organisation.
Please could you confirm this?Dear Mr Bargepole,
Thank you for contacting us. It’s important to us that every email we receive is fully investigated before we reply. I’m sorry for the time it’s taken to respond.
I appreciate your positive comment about our High Wycombe store. It’s always a morale booster for my store colleagues to hear.
I must also thank you for the feedback about the car park signs in the disabled and parent and child bays. After checking all the signage in both parking areas with Euro Car Parks and Tim Heather, the Deputy Manager, the signs in the restricted areas are inappropriate.
Action has been taken to replace these and as a temporary measure, the incorrect word will be replaced.
I appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your experience, so that we can continually improve the services at our stores. I’m sure you will find everything to your satisfaction the next time you shop with us.
Kind regards
Geoff Bott
Customer Manager
is a pic of the signs after they changed them. That temporary bodge-up has now been replaced by permanent signs which say "We may make a parking charge". No mention of fines or penalties - looks like they've finally got the message.
