The Micra I bought has a dodgy aerial, picture below:

Looks like it's snapped at some point, Do I have to get a complete replacement base and everything? When I look on Ebay there only seem to be screw in ones
There doesn't seem to be any other way of removing the base other than taking off the roof lining, which is a pain, how long do you think it will take for a novice like me?
Thanks in Advance

Get a replacement. You can get a similar type from Halfrauds. You should find it quite easy to get to once you remove the interior light (assuming the aerial is at the front of the vehicle). Usually you find you just need to undo a nut. If the connection is a similar type to the one you buy, just use the original wire. If you choose to take it to a car audio place for fitting, its a minimum labour charge. Even a novice should be able to do it in about an hour or so depending on how much of a faff it is to get to the back of the radio.0

Just back from Halfords, the stock levels are shocking. Only had 2 rubbish screw on ones. Unfortunately I can't get to the aerial via the interior light, headliner has to come off at the front, looked it up in the service manual. Just worried that I'll damage the lining trying to get it off as I have to remove some of the trim as well. Might get a quote for someone to do it. Thanks for your help0

Don't remove the headliner entirely, just drop it at the front and if needs be use your hands as your eyes and work blind

Stick a metal coat hanger in it!0

You might be able to remove the headlining above the door and reach across.0

With or without the coat hanger...fuzzybear01 wrote: »But that will look cack!
