Question about car insurance no-claims

Next month I'll have 6 years of no claims, but my car is currently broken so I wont be renewing the insurance. It might be around 3-6 months before I can afford to either get my car fixed, or get a new one. When my insurance expires in September I'll call the company to get my proof of 6 years no claims, but I'm worried that when I take out a new policy in a few months they might think there's something dodgy about the gap. Will they just accept the no claims proof, or are they going to think I'd had an accident in the last few months and I'm trying to con them by starting a new policy with a proof letter that I'd received before.
Might sound like a strange thing to worry about, I just don't want to encounter any problems or end up losing my discount when I can take a new policy out. I've never had to go without a car so I'm not sure how the companies are about gaps between policies.
Thanks.

Most companies are happy to take ncd that is up to 2 years "old".
They may want an explanation for the gap, which you will be able to give.0 -
Cool, should be okay then. Thanks.0
