Evening! Hope you've had a good day. :)

Basically a dress agency could be a way for you to get some cash for dresses etc you don't really like or wear anymore or a way for you to access some new threads for a fraction of the usual cost. Most focus on designer / high quality gear so you can be sure you're getting something fab.

I'm sure there's something like this where you are - can't think what else it might be called, tho, even after a quick google!

Maybe someone else can help? x
  • iwantahome- Your on! Debt free and also house deposit for July 2012 in time for London Olympics, Iam already on countdown mode and supersaver mode. hehe. I will be pulling out all stops to kick-your-butt and beat you hehehe. What is your house deposit you are trying for? Like you I went through a break up etc and made a promise to myself that I would be independant and focus on myself, between then and now I have met my BF and been together over 3 years, and we currently live in his house together for about 8 months. Although going through that time of wanting my independance and not relying on males, I still to this day want to buy my own house. Even though we may put our houses in together and make a future together, I still want my own sense of achievement and stability, as you never know what can happen.... Iam looking forward to hearing your aims.

Lizguil- Amazing idea. I have already started looking around my areas. Although not much luck, but might adventure out on the weekend and start looking into this. I have also thought as Iam going to Bali in 9 weeks that I can find pictures and what-not of things I like and get them copied, or even get awesome clothes copied and possibly sell on ebay to make a bit more $$$. although I feel a bit bad about this, bordering on using the Asian community for my benefit- bad shopgirl, bad bad girl.

Will email a daily update in a bit, x

  • ok... im back.

Bad news, and I hope you all are yelling at your computer and throwing stuff at my diary, as I should be also. This month and my very "sexy" tax return of $1800 isnt looking very good anymore :( As a few things have popped up! For instance:

    - Owe my Daddy $700
    - BF Birthday Present $1000

So really I should say my tax return is $100 and that has to go to spending money for my Bali Trip in 9 weeks.

Ways Iam going to help with my current problem:
    - Pay my Dad back $600 instead of $700 = $100 Profit (LOVE YOU DAD)
    - Put the $1000 from tax as my spending money limit for Bali Trip
    - Save Aug and Sept monthly pays for BF Birthday Present, and get a few ppl to chip in, his brother and sister etc... Great thinking.

So Iam stressing out at the moment. Just with so many things on and so many plans, saving isnt looking the best, and now I have a competition against iwantahome, eeeeek I need to get my butt into gear and sort myself out!!!

Why cant I grow a money tree?

I may have to sell my current Olympus Camera, and few bits of clothing to help out. And cut back on my spending in Bali.

aww sorry to hear that :( i wouldnt sell your camera though unless you can get lots for it, you will need one for your hol so unless you get enough to save some and buy a new one i would keep it! but then i am snap happy and take about 100 pix per day on hol so may be biased! :p

dont know how long you are going bali for but remember if you have your spending money saved up before you go then while you are away you will not be spending any money on normal things so you could save your weekly budget towards your house! means even if you spend all your spending money you wil still come home with money in your account :D i go away for a few weeks normally and love doing this! :D

  • Bali, in 9 weeks time (last two weeks of October), 1x week with girlfriend and 1x week with BF and family. Very excited to be relaxing on a beach and drinking cocktails.

I have taken your point about saving money while Iam away, which is the greatest thing, and i completely forgot, although because i get paid monthly, I doubt how much i wont be spending in Bali. Fingers crossed my bank account just keep racking up the dollars. Yeahhh!

As for my camera. Listed. We have 3 in total at the moment and 1x less isnt going to be the worst. Iam going to look at getting a SLR camera, even if this not the right time I will put it on 42months interest free and just pay it completely off next month on pay day in stead of letting it pro-long. And theres bf's birthday present covered also. Yay.
I should be ok. Iam working through this and Iam going to meet my targets.

AUGUST Target is $5000 in the savings account, and $1200 in holiday account.
So far Iam 2322 out of 5000 and $0 out of $1200 hehehe

But the good news is tomorrow is payday!!! Yay. When i report back on Monday Iam going to be closer to my targets and what-not and hopefully get some cheering from you guys.

    Weekend Plans.
    - Saturday, Coaching in the morning ($4 on coffee), Clean house and washing during the day (No Money), Play Netball (No Money, I have free pass to get in), Saturday Night 21st (Taking Maximum of $20 to get me through the night): Total Day spend: $24.

    - Sunday, House warming and movie day at home with BF. I have never seen Star wars, and although I do not actually want to see it, Iam going to watch the whole series with him (Not my idea) And Iam not promising that I will stay awake for the whole thing. NSD.

Squeeze in some dog walking and also declutter and I should be restrained from spending much money. Although taking into account Iam already spending $24 and i have a weekly spend budget of $30.

Wishing everyone a great weekend, hope your all up to fun things, would love to hear what you have planned and ways to help you keep busy and not spend lots of money.

    Until monday x

  • 2 hours left of work, well most definitely 1.5hours. Lets hope.
Dashing home to get started on the mounting of house work and cleaning/washing I have to get done, hopefully all by tonight and then a casual day tomorrow.

Today has been flat out at work, and Monday, Tues, Wed next week are going to be a write-off, well make that the whole week. So looking forward to it because that means I will be occupied and not destined to spend much money, Thank God.

Pushing through August with 20 NSD Days, No sweat- although it does have 5 weekends.

Keep well, have a fabulous weekend and will report in on Monday

  • Its Monday! Thank goodness, and over the weekend was pay day, YAY!!!

I took money out of the bank and my savings account has been updated for the month, $1500 short of my aim for the month, with Bali and everything coming up and opportunity to get on ebay and what-not, I think I may be able to slowly get this back by the end of the year, not forgetting Tax Return money, I will be putting $500 in there also, try and get it under $1000.

Iam more focused this month on sticking to budgets and not splurging. This week and end I dont have that much on, Will do a meal plan today and work out what i need to but at food shopping, and what we will be eating daily.

Iam looking at getting BF the camera for his birthday and possibly putting it on 42months interest free, and pay back in Jan 2011. As i dont have the money right now but can save up a bit and what-not, especially after our holiday is done and dusted, wont need to save $200 per month on spending money, I think this is a possibility. Im not going to do anything until September.... once I know how Bali spending money is going and also how my budgets are panning out. Although is only Day 1.... Cant get too ahead of myself.

    Have a great day.x

  • Meal Plans done. See if I can spend under $40 or there abouts on food shopping tonight for the week.

Going in my favour is Wed Night have training and can get away with toastie sandwiches and Friday Night is cooked for us with family and friends.

So today will not be a NSD, because food shopping, although budget for it, so as long as I stick to it.

Iam really looking forward to December this year, when I can look at my bank account and it says $9,000. And even better when Jan comes around and Im in double figures.
Iam on track to hit my targets and goals, Iam determined- although doing it is another thing. Will diary stalk a few other ppl to make sure others are on track, and how there coping.

Monday is nearly over. Yay! 1hr to go.
