Maybe try reversing into spaces against the curb?At least you can see where it is in relation to the back wheel in your mirror as you seem to struggle knowing where it is parking forwads.

a) you haven't seen my reversing :rotfl:
b) yes...thanks....very helpful after the event :rotfl:(plus my mirrors are more angled to see the car behind, not look down at the kerb ) Since it's the same area I have caught my wheels on a couple of times, I think I might just park elsewhere

Still waiting for call back from Chips Away, will call them on Monday I think. Am thinking that I might get the front two wheels done first and the back to later (as they aren't too bad) unless there is a real incentive to get them all done at once (like pay for 3, get your 4th free)

The amount chips away will charge I'd bet would be about the same as a cheap full refurb which would leave the wheels looking much better, and also provide the option of changing the colour if you so desire.
