Never mind being missold...

...how about blatantly ignored

A few weeks ago, I printed off the Credit Card repayment letter and requested all the charges that had been made to my account in a bid to try and get a bit of money back.

However, also in the documentation I received from Capital One was a copy of my application which specifically asked if I wanted Capital One's Payment Protection scheme with a clear tick in the 'no' box.

After checking my statement, I've been charged Payment Protection Insurance evry single month since 2003! Have I got this all wrong, or have I been completely duped? If I've been diddled, do I go down the missold route to claim this money back?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi there

Blimey, so you never signed for this and the agreement proves this, and yet you've been paying for this?

I would say yes you defo have a good case here.

    Go for it.

Complete the FOS questionnaire - as shown on link below - further down the page as stage one.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
these questionnaires are in replacement of the first reclaim template letter.
Then send to whoever set and sold you the policy.
Keep a copy as well, this is recommended by the FOS.

They have 8 weeks in full to respond.

In your case, enclose "copies only" of your agreement, and if you can some copies of your statements to prove you have been paying for something you never asked for.
I would not send them originals in case you don't get them back.

Make sure you get proof of posting at your post office as well.

Look forward to hearing the outcome on this one, this should not take long, good luck.;)
