Autoglass woes

Hi all,
On a long drive to my holiday destination my windscreen was struck by a stone flicked up by a passing truck that caused a small chip on my windscreen.
I called autoglass the following day and they said that if the chip was as described then it should be repairable.
I attended the local centre later that day and the technician said it should be repairable and to pick it up in half an hour.
On my return I was told that the repair had not worked and the windscreen was now cracked and needed to be replaced.
The windscreen was replaced today and I have just realised a crack at the bottom of the windscreen which is about 3 inches long.
I'm not sure where to go from here as I was already miffed that the repair had turned a chip into a crack.
Any suggestions?
Paul

Why not g back to AG and show them the crack0

Seconded. It was either defective or not fitted properly. Its a no brainer.0

Dodgy centre.
Ring/visit and request to speak to manager.
Take photos of damage/ keep a note of time/date repair was carried out.
If no joy on requesting FREE replacement, contact head office by post, stating you wish them to replace the windscreen free due to X Y and Z if no joy still, Trading standards as you then have grounds for them to investigate.
Hope you get it sorted, remember if it is in the drivers view the car will fail and MOT and also, if the Police see it may pull you!0 -
The repair will be under warranty - don't worry Autoglass will probably honour it. A few months ago they did a replacement for me and I was unhappy with distortion in the glass, they replaced it no questions asked.0

If AG broke the windscreen putting it in then you should return the car to them so they can replace it.0

I hope OP you have managed to sort things regards your windscreen, do make sure to take photos IF they garage at AutoGlass refuse the damage as there's due to incorrect fitting0
