Hello, I've booked a family break at the above hotel with 2 children. Now I'm looking for things to do around there. How far is it from cotswold,Warwick castle? Is there any offers to Warwick castle? Any theme park? I've booked 2 days stay so wish to keep the kids occupied. I'm heading there from London - Many thanks

Warwick must be an hour and a half drive North from Swindon - if you're in London you'd do it from there in probably the same amount of time so I'd probably shelve that idea.
Nearer to the South side of the Cotswold though although it still isn't exactly local. The Cotswold Farm park I have heard lots of lovely things about though I still havne't taken my kids
30 minutes to the edge of the Cotswolds I guess. This will be a bit further but the scenery throughout the Cotswolds is lovely and you could stop at somewhere like Bourton on the Water which is a picture postcard perfect little town.

Can't help with more local things to Swindon, I'm nearer to Warwick and the north side of the Cotswolds.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

There's the Cotswold Water Park, http://www.waterpark.org/ which is north west of Swindon. Haven't been there myself & would depend on the weather but might be worth looking into.
Depending on the age of your children there is the Cotswold Wildlife Park (different place to the Farm Park), just south of Burford which is another nice little town to wander around. The Cotswold Farm Park is more suitable for little kids if my memory serves me right.
There is the STEAM railway museum at Swindon, next to the McArthur Glen Designer Shopping Outlet & the Oasis Leisure Centre with a Lagoon Pool.
You could shoot down the M4 to Bristol, lots to see & do there.0 -
Thanks Doozergirl & Pollywiggle. I'll have a look at the waterparks and the steam railway. I booked this because it said 4star luxury hotel in cotwold with breakfast and dinner but now stuck.0

Depending which two days it is you might find something useful here. Check the 'Open Air' and 'Calendar' sections in particular:

Although at first sight the AHH seems to be aimed at the business market, it does get good reviews from families too:

Note that there are limited times for children to use the swimming pool (bit longer in August!), in case that's important to plan round ...0 -
You could try Roves Farm just outside Swindon heading towards Highworth - http://www.rovesfarm.co.uk/
Also well worth going to McArthur Glenn outlet (from an adult perspective anyway!!!)0 -
Hi,
There's the Oasis Swimming pool (bit worn and old now but has some great slides and shoots for kids). If the kids like soft play areas then there is Kidz About soft play in West Swindon and Jolly Rogers in East. There's also Old Town Gardens, Coate Water and Lydiard House parks which are lovely.
A great source of info is netmums and visit the local North Wilts pages as it shows all the events and activities for kids taking place...
Hope that helps!0
