I thought a DRO was an option for me:cool::(
I failed on the pension thing (I paid into one for a few years, about 15 years ago) and came unstuck on that :mad:
Yes, hubbie has a pension from a period of self employment - it certainly won't pay many bills when he is 65 and will probably stop him getting any help elsewhere but it is enough to stop him going for DRO on his debts
They are actually looking again at that pension problem - the consultation period ended a couple of months ago, so they may be some news shortly with possible changes from April 2011 - whether it will help many people is anyone's guess
I stayed the same weight this week and hubbie lost 1 1/2 lbs but we have missed a few meals this week for one reason or another and have not had many veggies so I'll plan better this weekMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hello,
I thought I'd get the important bit out of the way before Fred scarpered to page 2!
I have man flu today and have made all the dippy mistakes that comes with being loaded with the cold... introducing yourself to some-one in a meeting when you've already met them loads of times; driving to the the wrong place for an appointment; burning your dinner; then burning yourself as you throw it over yourself; doing exactly the same again once you've changed into a clean top!
I believe the expression is "D'oh!" Roll on bedtime!
Talking of expressions... are any of you facebook users? Martin has a page there and today he asked what people thought the expression "spendthrift" means (he wanted to know whether he should use it in a TV programme). The comments were very interesting and quite scary for any-one who likes their language!!!
What do you think it means!?Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Hi Nicca,
I'm not on facebook but I thought spendthrift meant someone who wastes money and spends it unnecessarily is that not right? Ooohh I think I've just described myself there:o
3Dogs - Well done for not putting any weight on and to Mr 3Dogs for losing some. It's hard when you're busy doing loads of things to stick to your routine but at least you didn't gain any:)
Handy - Poor little cat I hope you find him soon.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

3Dogs, I've not been on in such a long time I didn't know anything about Niddy's daughter. Do pass on my hugs and best wishes please, very glad to hear positive news. (And it's just about football season again so tell him I'll keep my eyes peeled as he will no doubt be passing closeby mine when his team play)

Nicca - she has been in hospital for 5 weeks, mostly in HDU. She was complaining of stomach pains and coud not eat for a few days, but when she started vomitting green gunk (sorry!!), she was rushed to hospital - it seems her appendix burst and they found her organs stuck together with the green gunk (sorry again) She has had two very long operations, came home at one point but was taken straight back in to HDU - was very touch and go - Niddy booked off work indefinitely and has spent every waking hour at her bedside with Mrs Niddy
She even had her 16th birthday in hospital on Friday - her recovery has been sudden so they were not yet expecting her release so it will have come as a lovely surprise
I'll pass on your comments re the footballMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
