    I don't like wine:(

Me either Numpty. And I feel I shouldn't really admit to being in the pub last night and drinking only water!

(Though I do like a good bottle of Mexican beer every now and again, and again and again ;)).

  • Hello Everyone,

Hope you have all had a good day.
Strawberry vodka - one pound of strawberries, half a pound of sugar, one pint of vodka. Put in a Kilner jar/screwtop jar and gently shake it. Put on a windowsill and every day turn it around, gently redissolving the sugar. After six weeks the sugar will have been absorbed. Strain and bottle. Goes nicely as a shot topped up with lemonade, sparkling wine, sparkling mineral water, whatever floats your boat. Apply the same principle to almost any combination of fruit and spirit. I currently have a small batch of mango rum on the go.

Now that's something I've got to try Nargle!

Handy - Hugs to you and all your family. I hope MIL goes peacefully when the time comes:A

Ames - Well done on all the packing, I am so not a minimalist packer:o

Watalie - hope the move goes smoothly.

Numpty - Got your interwebby back.

I've got to make GD's birthday cake for next week so I went to the cake shop today to get all the bits and pieces and icing etc. was gobsmacked when it came to £46:eek: and that's before I've bought the ingredients to make it. By the time I'm finished it will have cost about £60-£65. Mind you to buy one like it in the shop would probably cost well over £100 but it's still a lot of money for a cake. I'll have to look into ordering stuff on-line in the future as these shops are very expensive and there's none close to me either, the nearest is about 9 miles away.
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Hope you have a good day

:D Had a very busy day today Spoon but it keeps me out of trouble. That has to be a good thing, right?. :rotfl:
    Morning everyone
Fred's wandering again, or maybe it's the wind blowing him around.

Just back from Tatco, nearly got blown off my feet in the car park:eek:

Hope everyone's well today. Back later to anchor Fred down again.

Hope you're ok Spoon, wouldn't want you being blown away!.
    Afternoon all :hello:

Hope everyone's well......and we have the sun here!!

    Show off!! :rotfl:

Other than that, it may well have been a dry night for Red and the rest of the group who participated in welcoming the Baby onto the forum;). Do I need to keep typing or have I already convinced you?!:T

Geebee, you are such an old cynic, you don't believe a single word we tell you, do you:rotfl::rotfl:

Evening folks, I see you've all been busy in Reds absence. Geebee, I may have called you a cynic, but I've definately more sense than to call you old:p!

As it's Thirsty Thursday folks and the weekend is almost upon us, it's time for some more wine tasting. As ever, it'll be a simple, easy going dignified affair with just a glass or two each.

    Afternoon All,went with the mint tea,thank's GB,got mixture of sunshine,then heavy shower's,dull + blowing a gale:eek:,then back to sunny,but the wind's stayed around.

Thats how it's been here for the last few days now, not good at all.
Aww Nargle, do we have to be??!!! :D

Hope everyone is well today. I'm just getting my stuff packed for the weekend (a.k.a my big summer holiday!) so althouh I'm busy busy it's the good kind of busy :D got all the eats and drinks for going away (it's self catering) and I think I have all other items I may need...it's just a case of finding them! :) luckily I don't have lots of things to hunt for as I'm a minimalist packer but after seeing the forecast for the next few days I'm going to hunt out my wetsuit, scuba apparatus and flippers!!!:rotfl:

I would be dancing round the house now Allie, i love getting all packed for going away. I'm just like a kid, i get sooooo excited. Usually, if i've planned the holiday well in advance, i start counting the sleeps down for about a month. If it's a last minute thing, i'm carrying on like a child at christmas!. :o
