For being so generous with the cakes, Spoon, and to show my appreciation, I thought you might like this picture.....

Should've known that'd draw you out Numpty!

Have you seen the latest Leeds City College list of courses? There's loads of stuff starting in September and you should get a lot of it free because of being on JSA. There's a centre near you too, that one does practical type stuff.

ETA: sorry if that sounded patronising or bossy, it's just I remember you mentioning courses before and figured that you might as well get as much benefit from being on benefits as you can (I'm going to!).

I've just done that before I get a job and come off benefits..ditto Ames....get all you can..some fun, some academic though think the max study time in college is 16 hours per week else you're classed as a f/t student...

Well tea time then off to Mr C for breadrolls (DV cheap) before like interview skill revising (:p but can't do tomorrow cos it's Sabbath and like don't want to leave it till last minute)...

BTW anyone thinking of applying for Mr S customer service assistant.....procedure so far = multiple guess application (but the browsers played up so it took me about 5 goes :() then text to say if you've got an interview....phone normal no to book interview....get email to confirm...SO INCLUDE YA MOBILE NO ON THE APPLICATION!!!

Erme, the 16 hour thing is pants, and doesn't make sense. Like, when I tried uni full time, it only counted as part time because I was only in for 5 hours, they don't count the 40 hours reading I was supposed to do. But at least it means that OU counts for very little - averaging about half an hour a week. I need to sort out what I want to do, what I can do without it clashing, and then if I can 'afford' the hours for everything. Part of me thinks I shouldn't be jumping into so much so soon after a hypomanic episode, but I know that I need to so that I've got structure, routine, and plenty to keep me occupied so that if I start to slide down into depression it might not be as bad. That's my theory anyway, and it's worked in the past. I just have to make sure I pick the right college's so that they're supportive.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble! Hallway's cleared now, everything's either in boxes, in piles waiting for boxes, or in bags for the charity shop.

  • Hello everyone,

Hope you've all had a good day.

Handy - :pto scuba diving in the bath! Glad to hear that MIL is getting sorted out and is improving and happy.

Erme - Good to hear that you're getting better and good luck with the interview.

Geebee & Spoon - thanks for the goodies today!

Ames - hope you get a college that's right for you.

Swanhic - Ouch, what are you like, hope you're feeling better.;)

Enjoy the rest of your evening everyone.
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

BL, I know the good colleges, it's just the timings of the courses I want to do to see if they clash. Although I've got a short list of about five A levels I want to do, so hopefully one of them'll fit around everything else!

Erme... If you would like to help out with the refreshments, that would be a great help, Thank you.

I tend to just do coffee/decaf/tea on a morning, sometimes a couple of patries/cakes/slices, depending on whether i know i'm gonna be here for Elevenses or not, cos we do like to save our appetite for then. :D
Occasionally i'll make sure Handy gets a full breakfast inside him before he starts the day, he does a very manual job and often works long hours so we gotta take good care of him. He does enjoy his breakfast too. :D

Weekend is usually a good time for extra strong coffee for Swanfan... (for obvious reasons) except when he's been throwing himself downstairs to get some attention off the Nurses!. :rotfl:
    Just joking Swanny :kisses3:
