Mobile Phone Insurance Claim

Hi,
Just looking for some advice.
I have just got back from holiday in Canada. Unfortunately, one of our mobile phones and our Sat-Nav system was stolen from our rental car whilst we were away. However, the car was broken into using a key-code-copier system, rather than a broken window/picked lock etc.
We reported the incident to the police and cancelled the phone sim etc.
Now we are back we are trying to claim for them items, but mainly for the phone due to the lengthy contract, however our insurance company have stated that they will not pay out unless there is proof from the car rental company of 'forced entry to the vechile' (eg - broken window)
This type of documentation obviously doesnt exist due to the nature of the break-in and I just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to what we could do?
thank you
