how much would you offer....
ok thinking of doing a car/lift share through a website with a complete stranger! I have no access to a car so how much would you offer for a daily journey of 40 mile round trip?
Banana Lovers
Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

It should be in the region of £5 - £10 per day. £5 will cover the petrol plus a wee bit. £10 is probably closer half the running cost.
So those are your haggling bands in my view.0 -
Work out your average miles per year then divide by the average cost per mile.
i.e. all costs, insurance, fuel, mot.
Then you get cost per mile. Then work out the mileage of the journey and there you go!0 -
Work out cost of MPG, MOT, Tax and Insurance over a year then divide that by a number of days lift sharing, and if you want to be extra nice add a few pennies in to round it off for general wear and tear, you'll have the price to offer.
Good luck OP
