Help please. Buyer trying to issue me with partial refund

Hello.
I hope someone can help.
I bought an item off ebay but wasn't happy with the postage and the condition so I messaged the buyer and they have offered to refund me some money.
Only thing is they don't know how to and they're asking me to confirm my Paypal account so they can gift me the money.
Do I give them my email address or is there a button in their Paypal account to let them do this?
When I've been issued refunds or partial refunds the buyer has done this by themselves and I haven't *touches wood* had to do this so far when selling, so I don't know what to do :-s
(Feel free to laugh at my ineptness :D )

Thanks in advance, Harley.
