Experian might be happy to rate you as Excellent as long as you've not missed any payments in the last 6 months ~ 2 years, but most creditors think VERY differently...

Experian can rate you what they like and it means diddley squat because Experian are not lenders.

Things have changed hugely. 5 years ago I was earning £15k net, had £14k debts and Capital 1 gave me a further £9k 5% lifetime of balance deal.
Now it seems hard to get anything.

    I'm sooo jelous...

I keep seeing Creation CC being recommended on these forums- are they safe enough? Do they give a dicent credit amount or just £250 starting off limit? Thanks

Unfortunately I see it as 1 of the worst things I ever did.
Was late on a couple payments and before I knew it they had hiked the interest up to 35% which on 9k(they raised it) which was a huge amount of interest per month and I subsequently defaulted.

I have to say that as someone who certainly had to much credit that its not such a bad thing that creditors have tightened the belt a bit in some areas and seem to be thinking before giving out credit.

I admit I was too young and silly :)

Yup as John says you've got absolutely nothing whatsoever to be jealous about.

Creation's limits are typically £1,000 for their "Regular" cards like Silver, My World, DAYS, FlyBe etc and £2,000+ for the Creation card (which has stricter acceptance criteria).

Don't expect to be approved if you've had any adverse history in the last three years or any unsatisfied arrears / defaults from the last six :o
