Or Wilko's or whatever.
I bought a plastic drawer unit for £20 in store. Inspected it whilst there, looked fine. When I got home, I attached the casters and filled it up (but not too heavy), and I noticed a significant crack had formed on one of the legs. It seems the unit isn't strong enough to be supported with the casters.
I didn't want to spend time and bus fare going into town to take them back, and I felt I could probably still use the drawers without the casters. So I sent them an email telling them of the problem and asking them if they'd consider a partial refund or gift voucher.
They replied...sending me a £10 gift voucher! :T Wilko's live up to their customer service promises, whilst at the same time being very good value in general. Very pleased.

I ordered a side table from Wilkinsons and when it arrived it had a small crack in the wood. I phoned up to complain about this and they sent me a new table and allowed me to keep the old one. :T
In contrast the headboard on my son's new bed split. I rang Argos who arranged to pick it up and deliver a new one. They insisted that they had to replace the mattress as well as it was part of a bundle. I offered to buy it from them (at reduced rate) but they refused! All they could have done with it was to bin it (I hope )0 -
