Hello
I want to install a burglar but not sure where to start:

company fitted?
what are the pitfalls and good buys you know of
Thank you

Depends what level of alarm you want, monitored (redcare etc) unmonitored, maintenance contract ?
If all you really want is a noisy deterrant if someone should break in then your choice is wide.
Wire free or wired, DIY or fitted by an installer.
Wirefree DIY are simple but you have to remember to change the batteries when necessary.
Wired DIY means upsetting decoration but is more reliable.
Of course an installer will happily do either, and they generally have their own favorite systems that they recommend and fit.
Whatever you do, installing an alarm is a good move.0 -
Carine, We recently bought burglar alarm for obvious reason but we thought it would reduce insurance bill but most companies look for annually maintained/serviced alarms; you might want to look in to thatbefore buying.0
