Front door leaking at bottom

Options
Hello all.

Our front door doesn't have a weatherboard which extends along it's full length as the previous owners decided to adapt it. This means that when it rains water creeps under the door resulting in the wooden door step swelling and making the door very hard to open.

I've considered replacing the weatherboard but this would mean having to find the same colour paint or repainting the whole lot.

Is there something else that could be easily done to improve the seal between the bottom of the door and the raised metal strip on the door step?

Cheers

What colour is your door? I got a white upvc weather seal off ebay for about £8 including fittings.

Black or silver coloured would both be neutral enough - what colour is your lock or handle? Look for 'rain deflector'
