MBNA contact? Balance transfer? No more credit?

Hi, I need to find out from MBNA why there is an open account for a credit card with £5,500 limit and nil balance on my credit report.
The main reason is because I currently have a MINT card with £5,500 limit at 26% and I'm paying as much interest as my minimum payment and want to shift it to a lower rate. However, as I'm up to my personal limit for borrowing I've been refused a credit card with Tesco and I have no other card to balance transfer to. I'd like to use the MBNA one if its available.
How do I find out? Does anyone have contact details for MBNA? The only card I can think it might be is a Virgin but I received a letter last year telling me the account had been closed as I was no longer using it.
I need to start paying off the balance but I cant afford and the interest is just going up and up. Please HELP????

And yes, the Virgin Money card is run by MBNA. Give them a shout and ask them to send out a replacement card if the account is still open, or mark it as satisfied on your credit file if it isn't, which should then enable you to get a card elsewhereCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Here is the address for customer services-
Customer Assistance Department
PO BOX 30
Chester
CH4 9FD0 -
Thats actually the address fot their collections dept - hence "customer assistance" Chnage this to simply MBNA
Change the po box number to 1004. and the post code to CH4 9FW
You state you recieved a letter from them stating the account has/was due to be closed. (I recall these letters)
This should have taken place and was an error on MBNA systems that the account did not fully close (or at least report as closed.
They will NOT reopen it unfortunately, but can ensure that it reports as closed. No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
