Is it just my local store, or is everyone else's Poundstretcher failing to fill up its shelves ? Mine is half empty !
Reminds me somewhat of Woolies before they went bust - their shelves were empty because none of their suppliers would give them credit anymore. Cash up front or no goods.

mine seems fine (as fine as it can be) but it is small,Back by no demand whatsoever.0

There's not a "Poundstretcher" round here - we have a "Pound Shop" and its always full to brim with stock - so much so that its a nightmare to walk around.
Lots of goods are generally piled up around empty floor space.
Dread to think how mothers with buggies/people in wheelchairs could possibly manage."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
We dont have poundstrecher anymore just a poundshop next to 99p store and both are full0

My local Poundstretcher seemed quite full yesterday. Maybe this is just a seasonal thing and they are clearing the gardening stuff to make way for the Christmas stock. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us
Baby we were born to walk0 -
My local one is still selling off the dregs of the Woolies stock it bought. Some of the stuff is dearer than it was in Woolies!! It's shelves are pretty full tho...0

My local is still full of the usual tat, overpriced branded goods (Nescafe coffee is more expensive in my poundstretcher than it is in Sainsburys as are many other brands), broken stock, a bizarre range of DVDs and books, thousands of pillows and cushions and the odd bargain.0

Solved the mystery !
Went in there this evening to find everything has moved and all the aisles turned through 90 degrees. They were obviously just running the stock down to make the move easier.0 -

Yes- they do have bizarre DVDs! The sort of DVDs that you woudn't take for free."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0
